Whooping cough cases increase

Cases of whooping cough (pertussis) reported to the Health Protection Agency (HPA) in England and Wales have more than doubled from 421 cases in 2010 to 1040 in 2011. Increases in levels of whooping cough are seen every three to four years and figures in 2011 are in line with cases reported in the last peak year of 2008.

consult Appointments. We operate a computerised appointment system. These can be made in person or by ringing the surgery. Please help the receptionist by saying if the appointment is urgent or routine. Urgent cases will always be seen on the same day.

Although every patient is registered with an individual doctor, we do not insist that he/she should only see that doctor. For the sake of continuity it is better that you see one particular doctor in any one illness but you are free to ask any of the partners.
